What is a Designation?
A designation is when an active member association president is unable to attend a Chapter meeting and designates another eligible active association member, from their own association, to vote on their behalf.
Who can be issued a Designation?
The president authorizing the designation may issue the authority, to act on their behalf, to any eligible active member of their own association. A designation cannot be provided to a person who is a member of a different active member association.
When does a Designation have to be submitted?
A designation may be submitted to the Valley Chapter president or presiding officer at any time, prior to the official start (1900 hours). There are no restriction as to when the form must be signed. Provided it has been signed and submitted prior to the gavel drop, and the issuing president is validated against the PORAC Membership Roster, the designation will stand.
